At the first stage on our way down are the myths and legends surrounding this mysterious universe. From the reaches of time to the Age of Enlightenment, these coloured our thoughts. And rightly so, because walking around the exhibition, you will understand that in the depths of our seas lies the unknown; an unknown nourished by Man's wild imagination.

A stage further down and you will continue your dive into the deep beside the "risk everything" inventors and their improbable machines, both amazing and surreal. The first explorers opened the way to understanding this space, though we will always harbour an inner fear t-of that which lies below 7/10 of our Earth.

We could almost say that the sea is a planet in itself. "Planet Sea" which is opened up to us by this exhibition, invites us to discover abyssal plains, submarine mountains or volcanoes and oases with all manners of species.

Down to the last stage now: the great abyss. Only the most sophisticated, high-tech machines such as bathyscaphes or submarines can reach these depths. Our exhibition will enable you to understand everything about the invention of these machines, see how they work and even try them out for yourself. And why not take the controls of a submarine to descend into the depths... virtually of course!
